A store loss prevention agent is fighting for his life after being stabbed numerous times and was seriously injured outside a Walmart store on the Northwest Side.
The stabbing happened at the Walmart located on the 8000 block of Bandera Road around 12:44 p.m. Saturday. 
According to police, a homeless person shoplifted and was attempting to leave, when a security agent in plain clothes confronted him outside. 
Witnesses say the homeless person then stabbed the security officer several times.
The store security agent was taken by EMS to University Hospital with life-threatening injuries and was taken into surgery.

Police are now searching for the suspect, who is believed to be somewhere in the area.
